The most recent completion of seawall repair for the island of St. George, Alaska, in the Pribilof Islands, will combat the further erosion of the island over the upcoming winter. “Thickness, extent, and duration of sea ice,” are all contributing factors to the ongoing erosion of the coastlines of these remote villages.
